Please use a Direct Debit for your subscriptions

You are encouraged to set up a Direct Debit Mandate for payment of your membership dues. This payment method can now give you a discount of £5.00 on your annual subscription. (Only available for UK sterling bank accounts).

The Advantages for you:
  • No concern about remembering to send a cheque each year
  • No repeated reminder letters
  • No lapse in receiving journals and other benefits
  • No additional re-admission fee if dues not paid within 3 months of due date
  • If joining in October to December in any year and paying by DD your first payment is not taken until the following January
  • Any individual paying an Ordinary Membership Subscription can elect to pay by DD in two equal instalments in January and July.
  • By reducing administration costs you help to keep subscription levels down.

The Safeguards for you:
  • This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits
  • If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the ACB will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the ACB to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.
  • If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the ACB or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society – If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the ACB asks you to
  • You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.

When joining the ACB, please consider DD as your payment method of choice and receive a £5 discount on your annual subscription. (Only available for UK sterling bank accounts).

If you have already joined and still pay by cheque, take this advantage of setting up a DD mandate now for next year.
